Those who did faced punishment, persecution, even genocide.
That fear didn’t disappear, it lives in our DNA, it lives in our lineage.
Our parents reinforced the need to blend in, to survive, to be accepted when they immigrated
So even now, when your logical mind says “go for it, girl,”
your body whispers, “but is it safe.”
And that’s before we even add the old ingrained view points of how girls differ to boys.… need I say more?
